Graveyard in the Sky
I captured this series in the summer of 2007 while atop Sundance Mountain at Priest Lake in Northern Idaho. In 1967, a fire broke out at the summit and consumed about 56,000 acres. These dead and burned trees are all that remain from a once mighty forest.
I was struck by their beauty (even in death) and how they reminded me of markers in a graveyard.
The series was shot with a Canon 20D, EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 lens.
The display utilized 20”x30” gallery wrap canvas. Please contact me for details on pricing.
